First book by #AnneTyler. #FrenchBraid is a very well-crafted and quiet book about a family, with a focus on the matriarch. There were a lot of characters & names in this, but it didn‘t feel stressful.

This was a very different kind of read for me. Anne Tyler is a prolific writer. If not for her writing I would've finished the book. Despite the slow-paced plot I enjoyed reading and getting to know the characters. I might check out her future book(s) if it comes highly recommended.
