#WondrousWednesday @Eggs
1. Favorite smell = a desert rain. I have wonderful memories of big rains (which were a huge deal in Phoenix) where my mom, grandma, sisters, and I would all sit on our back porch together: watching, listening, smelling, talking, laughing. 💙
2. A vivid memory of being in the back seat of our sedan after my dad's baseball game (he was a coach), with my mom and dad in the front seats. I have never felt as secure since. 💙

Pickpick

#WondrousWednesday @Eggs 1) While I was reading this most excellent tagged book which I highly recommend, there was much smelling and drinking of coffee. I love coffee but coffee doesn‘t love me anymore. But I swear I could smell and taste the coffee while I was reading. And I started craving it. 2) One of my fondest childhood memories is of my paternal grandmother pouring some of her cream and sugar coffee into a saucer and feeding it (cont)⬇️

CatLass007 to me with a spoon. My grandmother died when I was quite young so I don‘t have a lot of memories of her. That‘s why this one is especially precious to me. @julieclair Thanks for the tag!☕️ 2h

1. There‘s something about the smell of bacon and eggs that takes me back to lazy Saturday morning breakfasts when I was a kid.
2. I remember playing on the deck my grandfather built at their house, as well as “helping” them pick strawberries.
Thanks for the tags.

I love these questions!
💙My favorite is the smell in the air in the summer before a thunderstorm - it always reminds me of a perfect afternoon of swimming and camaraderie with friends at summer camp before a big storm ended up rolling in.
💙Hunting for faeries in the neighborhood with my BFF (who is still my BFF 30+ years later). We also performed spells in my backyard in a little fort we made under a pine tree.

AmyG Yes! I love that smell. I always run outside and look if I know storms are coming 3h

#WondrousWednesday

1) Roses because my grandma wore Tea Rose perfume daily and lilacs because of the large lilac bush by the front door of her house.
2) I was just talking to my dad about this. Rather than a specific memory it was our years in Ephrata. Sledding down suicide hill, riding our bikes all over town, playing out in the dry fields, spending our afternoons at the pool. It was definitely a different time in terms of safety and freedom.

1. The smell of beeswax always makes me think of the Wren Building in Williamsburg, Virginia. I had a lot of classes there in college, and the stairway railings were polished with beeswax. They always smelled so good!

2. One Christmas, when I was 8 or 9, my grandmother gave me a huge Barbie doll wardrobe that she had sewn herself. She was an excellent seamstress, and the clothes were beautiful.

Want to play?

Susanita ❤️Wren Building 💚💛 4h
CatLass007 Did you go to William and Mary? I can‘t remember what‘s in Williamsburg. There are so many great universities in Virginia that it‘s hard to remember them all. I‘m a JMU graduate and it is also my maternal grandmother‘s alma mater, way back when it was Harrisonburg Normal School for Women. I still have her college ring, Class of 1921! 2h

Smells Like Heaven | Sally Cooper

1. For me it‘s the smells of nature…freshly mown grass, crisp air in fall, the smell after it rains….that remind me of certain times in my life.
2. Halloween as a kid. We would trick-or-treat for hours! And get big candy bars. And dump our candy on the floor to separate. So much fun.
@Eggs #WondrousWednesday

Lesliereadsalot And then after all the Halloween candy was separated we would trade. You too? 4h
AmyG @Lesliereadsalot No. I was the only kid home. I would give what I didn‘t like to my father and he would eat it. 🤣 3h
dabbe Yes to big candy bars! And popcorn balls wrapped in Saran wrap or tin foil! We were more trusting in those days. ♥️ 1h
Lesliereadsalot Dads are always good for any leftover candy! 37m

Happy Wednesday!

I. The scent of lilacs echoes spring in Minnesota as a child. The scent of peonies is connected to Mom💗

II. Our neighbor Emma had a gorgeous flower garden surrounded by a white fence and beautiful gate-slice of heaven.

1. Dexter is my 2.5 year old pom. He is a cuddle bug, likes to dress up, ride in the car (he has a booster seat on our center console) and loves to be wherever we are.
2. Both. During Vet tech school I read lots of case studies, animal behavior books and vet med text books. I also used to have a huge collection of Berenstain Bears books when I was little.
