Thank You Book | Mo Willems

I was very surprised to receive a big variety of bookmarks from @LibrarianRyan for participating in #WeAreTheReaders, a Queen-inspired photo challenge. Thank you R.A. for the gift and for hosting the fun challenge.
What makes this extra nice for me is that I had lost the bag I kept my bookmarks in and was reduced to using paperscraps until now 😀

KristinaRay That‘s awesome! 6y
LibrarianRyan Yeahhh. Glad they made it. 6y

Look what I found in my letterbox just now.

Thank you @LibrarianRyan! It was a pleasure to take part in your #WeAreTheReaders #photochallenge.

So, now I have a large amount of "quitter strips", means I can be just like my daughter and start a stack of books at once. ?

Hey all it's the last day of the month. I want to thank all those that participated in #wearetheReaders photochallenge. There is still some time left. I will not get to add up all the points until sometime tomorrow. So post away. For those that already posted, I have been looking I'm just really behind and just now making up,for it.

Bookworm54 Just so you know, I have moved house, so if you let me know your email again, I will send you my new address :) 6y

I wasn‘t sure what to do for #BohemianRhapsody
Should I find a character that enjoys the song/the band? a character involved in gang warfare or murder? Someone convicted of a crime that feels remorseful?

John Coffey had been found guilty of committing the murder of two girls, but the guards find him to be naive, empathic, and afraid. Could he really have committed such a crime?

Harper Blaine is #UnderPressure as she is not only a private investigator, but after dying for 2 minutes she is now able to see into the grey. A dimension where all the paranormal creatures from your nightmares live. And now, she finds herself PI to some of those creatures. The stakes are much higher now.

Deirdre is so musically gifted, that the queen of the fae sends fairy assassins to kill Deirdre before her music can be heard by the fae, undermining her sovereignty.

Heathcliff and Cathy may be volatile people, but they are just trying to find #SomebodyToLove as much as they love each other. The whole society and class thing really got in the way of this romance.

Crowley loves the song #BohemianRhapsody. He plays it in his car and he even quotes from the lyrics. There is no song out there that is more fitting for this book character.

Evelyn is #UnderPressure. She has to hide who she truly loves because it's illegal.

Gosh, I'm so glad that things have changed.

Bostonmomx2 I‘m not sure it was illegal except as far as the marriage part. I think in that era it just wasn‘t accepted. I still despised Evelyn, I think she was a user and an abuser. This is my absolute least favorite of Jenkins books and I‘ll hesitate to read her going forward. 6y
julesG @Bostonmomx2 I'm not disagreeing with you there. Evelyn was an user. I think somewhere in the book they mentioned jail for indecency or something like that. So I thought it was illegal. 6y
Reecaspieces I think it was illegal. I had to take a criminal justice class in the 80s. And that was talked about. Along with several other things you would never believe was illegal (edited) 6y

julesG Well, considering that not too long ago women were sent to the asylum for reading novels, I'd say anything is possible. 6y
Bostonmomx2 @julesG you certainly could be right, I guess I just never realized it could have actually been a law. If so, I wonder when it was overturned. 6y

You may tell me off for this since it's non-fiction.

The rocks in this book will rock you. It's a book about the diamond trade in South Africa and mainly about how the DeBeers family created its empire.
