I read this book a long time ago, and didn't remember it too well. I really wanted to read the next book in the series, but didn't want to start that one in case there were characters from this one that I couldn't remember. So, I listened to the audiobook to get reacquainted with them. I think I enjoyed the book more this time around, but I didn't care for some of the choices the characters made. Other than that, it was a really sweet story.

smalldogs_bigbooks2419 This sounds like a book that would make me cry. Hopefully happy tears. 3y

A romance that was more rooted in self love then romantic love, and only a promise in the last few paragraphs to share a desire for the future. Refreshing that not all romances have to come full circle within a single volume.

Of course, I got behind again with my reviews. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Here‘s all the I read for #scarathlon #teamslaughter that I never got around to posting—during a variety of readathons, including #outstandingoctober, #screamathon, #24b4monday, #slaughterthon, etc.

AlaMich I like the collage of all the audiobook screens. 😊 3y

It takes special talent to write a story that gracefully handles tough topics without making the book difficult to get through. Amanda Cox definitely has that talent. Even with the heartbreak these characters face, not once did I ever anticipate anything but hope for them. Nicely done!

I definitely recommend this book! Amanda Cox is an exciting new voice in Christian fiction!
