Well it was hard but I think I narrowed it down. Here is my top 20 of 2020 (in no particular order).

Also: there were a few instances where I could've put multiple books of a series (Murderbot, Brown Sisters, Red Rising) so instead I just put the 1st in the series.

So many great books this year, I had some trouble narrowing it down. A lot of these books have stuck with me since I've read them and am sure they will remain favourites for years to come.

#Day4 #12Booksof2020 @Andrew65
I read this courtesy of a rec from @Cinfhen It was a really good story, and I learned a lot that I didn't know. The henna artist is an entrepreneur in a culture where women are not encouraged to do.

Andrew65 It does sound good. 3y
Cinfhen I loved this one!!! It made my #Top20of2020 🎉 3y
Cinfhen The audio was AMAZING 3y
Crazeedi @Cinfhen yes! And thank you!!! 3y
Amor4Libros I grabbed this on sale on Kindle over the weekend. Sounds like a great one! 3y

I still have a couple books to finish this year, but I‘d be surprised if they make my #top20of2020, so I‘m calling it. Here are my favorites of the year. The tagged book was easily my favorite, and has made my all time favorites list. It was a wonderful, hopeful read for 2020.

MallenNC I‘ve got my books from your list on hand and ready for January. I have read Troublemaker, In the Country We Love, and She Said too and thought they were great. 3y
Amandajoy @MallenNC I‘ve bought a couple of your picks and am itchin to start reading them! 3y
MallenNC @Amandajoy I put my picks in a stack out of my usual line of sight so they don‘t tempt me too much! 3y

This was like a love letter of nostalgia! 😌♥️Various feel-good movies and song references. It was charming from start to finish and made me tear up more than a few times. The storyline is deeper than it appears, but was light enough to be super enjoyable. So many amazing characters!! Similar to ‘Ready player One‘ and ‘On the come up‘ but with a charm all it‘s own! 🤗 #Top20of2020 #QueenEmerald

I heard about this book from Laura Tremaine of the 10 Things to Tell You podcast and it was well worth reading. It has a lot of “meat” for a “self-help book” so I think I‘ll be reading this one again in the future. The biggest takeaway for me was completing the stress cycle. I highly recommend this book for anyone who feels overwhelmed or burned out. 4⭐️ #nonfiction #top20of2020

Another #Booked2020 prompt off the list- #HeadCoveringOrHat! And I finished this truly excellent debut in just a day, too! I couldn‘t put it down!! This moving family drama comes from Zelda‘s perspective, a young woman on the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome scale, living with her brother and making her own legendary life. It‘s an inspiring, heartbreaking and completely wonderful book with realistic characters and a fast plot. Definitely #Top20Of2020 so far

Cinfhen Oh wow!!! Just so another review where the reader wasn‘t as enamored. Nice to read a glowing review. Glad you enjoyed it!!! 4y
TorieStorieS @Cinfhen I saw some mixed reviews too, but I loved this! It reminds me of 4y
TorieStorieS @Cinfhen and I think that book was also one of those that received love/hate reception! 🤷‍♀️ But while neither are always that realistic, there‘s a lot of true sentiment captured, too. I have a sibling with a severe disability so both of them resonated with me. (edited) 4y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Interesting review and great pick for this prompt! 4y
TorieStorieS @BarbaraTheBibliophage Thanks! I‘m halfway through the Winter prompts!! ☺️ 4y
