I‘ve had the tagged since 7th or 8th grade-so around 1987. Haven‘t read it yet but I plan to. Soon! 😂

Pickpick

August recap in book reviews:

What a plot! This book is a series of letters written in the perspective of a demon to his nephew on how to manipulate the human mind. CS Lewis had a very big and creative imagination.

Rating: 5/5

i.besteph Here‘s a quote I liked: He (the human) had no faintest conception till that very hour of how they would look, and even doubted their existence. But when he saw them he knew that he had always known them and realised what part each one of them had played at many an hour in his life when he had supposed himself alone, so that now he could say to them, one by one, not "Who are you?" but "So it was you all the time" 3mo

Continuing on my CS Lewis ( and Narnia) immersion before going to the Wade Center at Wheaton College to hear Patti Callahan Henry‘s author event for her upcoming book, Once Upon A Wardrobe.

I am reading Screwtape again during this trip, but mostly I just wanted to share a view of the Caucasus Mountains from my hotel room in Georgia.

Mehso-so

Quite philosophical. Honestly, I need a second read because I lost focus here and there. Bonus points for simple language and plain writing style, with the message being conveyed just the same!
I'd give it a 3/5 rating.
