dabbe@willaful Excellent question! I had to research. This poem was published in 1926, and then there's a book entitled BLACK LIKE ME by John Howard Griffin, a journalist who disguised himself as a black man in the racially segregated South in 1961. That's all I know so far. 🤩😍🤗9mo
