Tonight‘s movie for dads 64th birthday. Here‘s hoping it‘s good.

He‘s been saying for Months he wants to see the new Addams family. Too bad I‘m not playing along in the #scareathon.

4thhouseontheleft I hope you both enjoyed it! We were hoping to go this weekend, but our schedule is too busy with XC meets, theater classes, volunteering at a festival. All my daughter's activities, and I've just realized she has a busier social calendar than I do. 😂 2mo
LibrarianRyan @4thhouseontheleft We didn't actually care for it. For us it was a one time watch. And Josh fell asleep. They tried to many of the same things from the original movie, and then made Wednesday Adams more like she belonged in the Munsters. 2mo

Someone We Know | Shari Lapena

I am up to page 78 in this book (that is chapter 11) I am loving the dual mysteries within one book that is enjoyable, I am also enjoying that this book takes place across the pond ( in the US) where as Turn of the Key takes place in Scotland and how different these two authors sculpt their mystery! Its been enjoyable.

#TeamSlaughter #Scareathon (is this the proper way to spell it? I think I have been misspelling it this whole time..?) @clwojick

Clwojick #Scarathlon lol, cause its a triathlon of scary reading events 😂 (edited) 2mo
Clwojick no worries though, i have them all marked. 2mo
rsteve388 Perfect and thank you for correcting me. 2mo

Remember Me | Christopher Pike

Pickpick

I was obsessed with these books as a kid- the teen horror genre in general, but very specifically this series. Reading it as an adult in 2018 of course reveals serious issues, but it is so quintessentially 1989 that I can understand how these mistakes were made.

Short recap- rich California teen Shari Cooper dies during a party, and as a ghost must solve the mystery of her death. I read this for the #Booked2018 Beach read category!

Lauram I read this too! I‘m not sure I can go back and read anything I loved at 14. 1y
callielafleur @Lauram The nice thing is that they're pretty short, so they're easy to get through. I have the second and third in the trilogy on my shelf, but I think I'm going to wait for Halloween! 1y

DGRachel I think I bought a copy of this at the used book store just for the nostalgia factor. I haven‘t brought myself to read it yet as I‘m a little worried to ruin the memories. I LOVED Christopher Pike‘s books in middle school!! 1y
DGRachel Ooh, but I just read your comment about Halloween. Maybe I‘ll add them to be #scareathon reading in October! @lauram I‘m a little worried about reading something I loved at 13/14 now that I‘m in my 40s. 😳 1y
Stacy_31 I loved Christopher Pike! The Final Friends trilogy was my absolute favorite for quite a while. I wonder what it would be like to go back and re-read them now. 🤔 1y
MicrobeMom I loved Christopher Pike as a kid! More than RL Stone. I am not sure I could go back a reread. I don‘t want to ruin great memories of devouring these books!! 1y
KimmyM Oh my gosh I read so much Christopher Pike as a kid! 1y
readordierachel Oh man, this takes me back. I used to love me some Christopher Pike, especially that vampire series he did 1y
