4✨ It would have been a 5 if it wasn‘t for that cliff hanger. Grrr. I really like that this approached multiple POVs from different places and perspectives. Darrow has been the Golden hero all this time, and looking at the other side was interesting. I still like Darrow, but people make mistakes and choices that they have to live with. I‘m going to take a break from this series though because it is so heavy on my heart.

Audiosewing F‘s patches…. I‘m honestly not sure how she is going to fit them all since I‘m running out of space. I‘m struggling with this one this time. Not because it‘s not good, but because of the unease I‘m feeling with current events. After I finish this graphic audio I‘m going to try to stick to lighter titles.

I‘m back after taking a break while slumping. I really need to pick better books….

I was really bored during this one. More of the same and there was really no character development either. I‘m wondering if I would enjoy this series more if I didn‘t leave so much time between picking them up but I really don‘t know.

I have the next book Light Bringer so I‘ll be reading it and then see if I want to continue when Red God is finally released.

My favorite way to read is by following along with the audio.

I was working on The Shadow Rising but wasn‘t able to finish before the audio had to go back to the library. Thankfully my hold for the audio of Dark Age came in just before so I can read that while I wait for The Shadow Rising to come back to me.

Finished this book because I needed to know how it ended but honestly, the violence in this series is so gross. After book 2 i vowed not read another but alas, how quickly we forget. I see why people like the series: it‘s epic and has great characters, but it‘s also hard to relate to the sheer scale of the space battles. I think I‘m done for reals this time.

This is the 4th book in the series and a little hard to get through. Everyone on Reddit says to polish through cause it‘s setting up the next 2 books and they were right.. the last 4 chapters of the book definitely got the ball rolling! I‘m excited and scared to start the 5th book in the series 📚

The 3rd book in the original trilogy. This book had me on the edge of my seat!! It was so good with lots of twists! I‘m excited to see what the next three books bring 🥰 I‘m hoping it will be the same characters, I‘ll find out soon 📖

I'm not being melodramatic when I say that I will NEVER recover from this book. If it were possible, I would confiscate these characters from Brown until he learns how to treat them better. I can't believe he killed my favourite character! Despite all of that, I will never stop singing the praises of this series (apparently, I'm a sucker for punishment because this is my favourite instalment). I will say, be VERY mindful of the trigger warnings.
