I was so excited to get this #bookmail this week! I preordered it, but it shipped before the release date, so I was completely surprised. I need to find the time to focus on it, which is hard to do at the moment. But soon, yes…soon.

Prime Days … last moment purchase. A steal. Plus it matches my special edition of The Lord of the Rings.
I‘ve decided when I visit an indie bookstore for the first time I‘m going to see if they have blind date with a book and get one as a souvenir from that book shop. 📚

I was a math major, but my favorite, most remembered, and markedly difficult class was in the English Dept - Mythology, taught by a phenomenal PhD storyteller. This book took me right back to that classroom. Upon finishing, I read GR reviews noting it failed a strong feminism POV. That may be true, but I chuckled because I didn‘t think to read for that perspective. I was just back in that long ago classroom.
July #BookSpin Cat: Fantasy
"'What a paragon of virtue you are, Gisburne,' laughed the Sheriff. 'I'm really most impressed. If she'd tried to bewitch me, I think I'd have been inclined to let her.' Gisburne reddened but kept silent." (page 71)
As I read this, I could see and hear Nickolas Grace and Robert Addie in the television series so vividly in my mind.
i spent most of the book getting stressed out because senior year is just terrifying like even reading about it stressed me out. percabeth moments had me SOBBING because they're adorable, that has and never will change. and percy sheningans with grover. it was a different type of fun watching percy go through everyday life while juggling quests on the side. especially since uncle rick's emphasizing growing up/leaving home (this just hurt me)
Why are 29 people waiting for this in my Libby APP? It was OK. If you liked the first book you‘ll probably like this one also. I liked Godkiller a bit more.
I‘m sorry Gawain poet, I didn‘t totally get along with your Arthurian poetic epic, and your pagan green knight in his games with the temptation of your hero. I tried to read your original language, and appreciate your alliteration (and rhyme). Alas, I prefer the French Lais, and, dare I say, your contemporary, Chaucer, and his joy of life collection. Please forgive.
My heart is shattered. From the beginning it was stated how it all would end, and yet the deaths left me in dripping tears. I loved the romance. I loved the subplots. I loved this story more than I had imagined. Who cares if it didn't follow the history completely. This is the way I want to be sucked into a story and for it to leave me in scars. I never want to read anything else, for this book has forever fullfilled me.
