I enjoyed this faith based memoir by Julie Chen Moonves. She takes you through how she found God at 48. Julie takes you through her struggles and triumphs throughout her life. How know, that she knows God, she sees things He has done throughout it. How things she did that she didn't realize was a sin until she learned about God. It made me look at one thing I sin in repeatedly, I think a lot of us do, that is gossiping. After listening ⬇️

Monica5 to this audiobook, I pray that God will first: forgive me for gossiping in the past; and second: He gives me strength and helps me from gossiping anymore when the devil tempts me. I want people to see Jesus in me no matter where or when they see me. I recommend this book for anyone that has a relationship with God and wants a closer one, or anyone that doesn't know God to find Him. As Julie said in the audiobook, it's never to late to start a relationship with God, after all she was 48.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙂

This one was weird. I thought it would deal with a murder while golfing. Nope! It is really crazy. Each time I thought Poirot and Hastings had the killer arrested, I was wrong. It didn't keep my attention as much as the other one, but it was still good.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

First book finished for #JubilantJuly Readathon

John Douglas takes a look at some cases that have never been solved in this audiobook. He tells, in the early ones, how he would have gone about helping solve them or work on them. It's a wide range of cases. Included are: Jack the Ripper, Lindbergh case, Lizzie Borden, the Zodiac Killer, the Black Dahlia, Boston Strangler and JonBenet Ramsey.

I liked the book, but it seemed to me that his ego was getting in the way. I know he is a great profiler, no question about that, but sometimes he went a little overboard for me, when he was talking about how he would have done the investigation and how some were really screwed up from the beginning.
That just got on my nerves and dropped my rating to 3⭐.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙂

I listened to the Audiobook and the two narrators were great! We have Molly, who is the wife and Rita, the homicide cop. If you don't like daul POV'S this book isn't for you.

After a night of throwing Jay, Molly's husband, a 40th birthday party, Molly wakes up to her husband's murder. She can't remember anything from the night before. ⬇️

Plus, she has a secret she has kept hidden for years. Molly seemed to me, a person looking for trouble. There were times, during the book, that I would think don't do that. Why did you do this.

Rita is a no-nonsense cop. She is very drab, but I liked her better than Molly. Rita is divorced and seems to have adopted her neighbor. There are a lot of suspects in this homicide. Can Rita figure it out before it's to late?

I read this book because some readers I follow on Litsy suggested it. It kept my attention throughout and I plan on reading more by Terri Parlato.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙂

I enjoyed this classic. It was written in 1859. I consider it a gothic mystery. The reader follows along from each person's view of where they were when it happened. It's the first classic I have read in a long time and I enjoyed stepping back in time to see how society was during that time.

Finished listening to it with one day to spare🙂

I listened this on Audiobook from Libby. The author narrated it. I found it to be just meh. It didn't really keep my interest until about 80% thru, then it really picked up. I did figure out the ending about 85% into it. It's really slow, but does pickup toward the end.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙃

A good book! I did the audiobook on it. It kept me interested, but the last 20% was the best to me. It's a soft pick for me.

First book I have read by McFadden, but it won't be the last.

😊 Happy Reading 🙃

Here‘s my #libraryholds from Libby. Tonight, I cancelled them because I found them on Audible and I‘m tired of waiting for my holds to come in. After I get them on Audible, I can read them whenever I want and avoid the wait times on Libby.

I placed a hold for this book on Libby. I won a physical ARC of this book from a Goodreads giveaway but I want to listen to this book on audio. I‘m just waiting for my hold to come in. I pulled the book off my bookshelf and read the first chapter. I don‘t know what to think about the first chapter but I still want to read this book. It sounds interesting but I don‘t know if I‘m going to like it or not.
