Christmas card from my aunt 😆😆😆

The moomin display at B&N piqued my curiosity and I went ahead and grabbed some the Moomin series from the library. I read Moominland Midwinter to match the storm outside, but now I‘m following the order of the series. It‘s very charming, but the show Moominvalley (2019) really brought the characters to life for me. I enjoyed some of the 90s episodes too. I was really excited to learn Jansson was queer and that Moomin and Snufkin are queer-coded.

As a kid I was obsessed with this book and kept wishing for an enchanted woods near my place!

First time in I think 2 years I have finished my reading challenge

I am loving the art in this beautiful book. His other art is also gorgeous but more avant-garde

I'm getting into the Christmas spirit (BTW, where's the snow Colorado? No snow since April is unacceptable!) so I'm going to take a break from my other reading and dip into something Christmasy. I haven't chosen which one yet, but it will definitely be set in a snowy location!

Oh my god... so freaking adorable! Poor Frank wakes up one day and one of his legs is missing. He's not sure he is a spider anymore with 7 legs. He's on a mission to find his missing leg. Will he find it or be a lesser than spider? Cute artwork and super sweet story.

Going old school here… I love the friendship of Pooh Bear and Piglet!!

Love our local library and the amazing kids section it has! Kids picked up some Halloween books and a few others while we were there too. A trip to the library is always fine!
