This beautiful book from broken binding… big I can‘t wait to read it 🥰📖

Epic! 881 pages and I never wanted it to end. It‘s soooo good. This is my favourite Joe Hill so far. “Sorrow and love are a single coin-the one we pay as the price of our humanity. Take it away and we'd be the worst kind of poor. And it's a mistake to believe the value of a life is erased by anguish at the end. If there's one thing atheists and the devout can agree on, Colin, death is where you leave your suffering behind."

My book of the year. I loved this. It was so much fun. It just builds and builds. Truly cinematic, it was all so vivid in my head. Joe Hill says his influences were the secret history, Friends, fairy tales, and paranormal phenomena. I want to say more, but don't want to spoil it.
Even if you think dragons aren't your thing, give this a go, it's so much more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A modern Arthurian twist with an evil dragon, and wow, that dragon is wonderfully diabolical. This epic tale was crazy good and has unexpected paths. The characters are fascinating and really stand out, and for such a long book, it feels like there is never a dull moment.
The audio is worth a listen. It is really well produced.

4.1⭐️ and to complete out my October reads, I am with this creepy little short story. I have read Joe Hill before and I didn‘t get the creep vibes from his full length features as I did from this 54 page book. I am still shaking off the heebie-jeebies. Was I terrified… No. Did it make me question sounds… 100%! Fun way to end the month!

I went to the bookstore today and got King Sorrow, Nobody‘s Girl, and The Land of Sweet Forever. I‘ve been eagerly awaiting King Sorrow. I feel like I should read Nobody‘s Girl, even though I know it will be painful. I like reading essays and short stories for a quick read, so I also got the latest Harper Lee.

I loved it. Everything I look for in horror/fantasy big books.
It‘s great bookmark matching 😁

The long-awaited moment has finally arrived! Joe Hill, one of my favorite authors, has released his fifth novel, titled ‘King Sorrow.‘ I eagerly preordered a signed first edition copy through Joe‘s home-based independent bookstore, Water Street Books, located in Exeter, New Hampshire. I‘ve shared some details, photos, and his interview on CBS Saturday Morning on my blog.

People suck. This is why the gods invented ice cream. And fat books. I have the new Joe Hill. I‘m gonna go disappear with these and some ice cream, while the dryer does its thing. I heard there‘s a dragon… I hope it eats everyone.
