4.2⭐️ This is quite a twist on the Sleeping Beauty legend, but I really enjoyed it. I expected more with the ending, but Im not quite sure what more would look like. Definitely a quick and easy read by Kingfisher, but still feel that it is absolutely worth the time.

I‘m glad you reminded us @TheAromaofBooks because I‘ve been too busy to think about #bookspin these last few weeks!

Since my books are currently all in boxes, these are all on Libby or my ereader, with the exception of two which are saved out. The last two on the list are for bookclubs. 🙂

AmyG Wishing you all the best! 2w
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! Hope you get to unpack your books soon!!! 2w

I picked up one of those "blind date with a book" deals at the bookstore and this was my prize. The prompt was "For the reader who loves an endearing outsider, fairy tale retellings, and a hint of tragedy." It might not be my very next read, but I am looking forward to it when I do get into it.

I‘ve never really been one to reread books. I‘m always anxious to get started on a new book and find a new fav. But I have been thinking a lot about some of my fav books and decided to give this one a reread since I originally listened to it on audio. So far, it lives up to how I remember it. Bizarre, dark, gruesome, and magical ✨🦢

Maybe I need to reread books more! How often do you reread favs? How do you balance new reads and rereads?

BookLove4Ever I almost never re-read books, but I have been thinking a lot about From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata. So good! Maybe at the end of the year I‘ll try. 3w
Butterfinger I reread if a favorite series publishes a new book. I see the characters as friends and love to get back into their world. Everyone is different. I know that when I become depressed, I will reread a favorite childhood book. 3w
zezeki I think I usually reread maybe 3, 4 books per year. It happened a few times that if I really like a book I will reread it immediately after finishing it, but that's mostly for shorter books. 😅 For me, rereading my faves is very comforting, and sometimes helps me get out of a reading slump, and I do like to return to some of these books every once in a while. 3w

Absolutely fantastic version of sleeping beauty. I really love when authors take an existing fairytale and completely turn it on its head.

Nevermind the astonishing amount of cat hair. Bastet has been rolling around.

Leftcoastzen So cute !😻 1mo
Littlewolf1 I have this one on my list for July. Looking forward to reading it. 1mo

July‘s #bookspin comes from a very limited selection, since I‘ve packed all but 3 of my books 😱. The other are audio from Libby and Libro.FM. If I happen to have enough time for more there‘s always my kindle or the library! Hopefully my shelves will be set back up by the end of July. 📚

TheAromaofBooks Best wishes on the moving!! My husband is hoping to finish building our library shelves this weekend - it's been sooooo fun to start getting books settled into their new home!! 1mo

5✨ This was not a surprise 5 Star for me because I have read it close to when it was copy written in 2003/2005. I loved it then and I love it now! It also caused me to follow the author ever since. The princess Ani is forced to become Isi and the Goose Girl for the king of her arranged marriages land. All in her company died to save her, but the villain in this story did not anticipate the talents of Ani‘s animal speak, and her determination.
