Loving this collection and so excited that Rudy has a story in my upcoming podcast. Brilliantly funny stuff in this book.

The first have was a fun, witty, futuristic Sci-Fi with a lot of clever things to say about the world. The second half was a bizarre, psychedelic dream world that seemed to give up on the wolves it had created. The last two chapters of the book tell a whole different story that felt irrelevant to the rest of the book. A really strong start with a real flop of an ending.

Pickpick

Okay so I thought this book was good and I want to watch the Netflix series now *but* I found it quite complicated at times and it did have some very disturbing bits. The concept is fantastic though and there were some interesting scenarios exploring the implications of a world like this. ⭐⭐⭐

tessavi I watched the show before reading the book, which made it easier to follow. The next books were harder to grasp. 2w
Lucy_Anywhere I really liked the Netflix series 😊 2w

Now it‘s my #TopTenFictionOf2019 starting with 1. Gideon The Ninth. 2. Neuromancer. 3. The 4th Monkey. 4. The City Of Lost Fortunes. 5. All Systems Red(Murderbot No1). 6. Leviathan Wakes. 7. The Dakota Winters. 8. To Be Taught, If Fortunate. 9. If We Were Villains & finally 10. Dark Matter(Michelle Paver). I‘ve read 180 books so far this year, it was difficult narrowing them down. Most I‘ve given 4⭐️ in GR, it‘s been a very good reading year.

LeeRHarry 👏🏻👏🏻 Becky Chambers is on my list too! And I‘m reading Murderbot for next month‘s book group 😊 Stay cool and I hope the fires aren‘t as bad as predicted 😔 3w
Cinfhen Did not read ANY of these 🙈 3w

Pickpick

An action-packed & satisfying final book for the trilogy. I really love this series!

State Tectonics | Malka Older

“Just because that bridge is a little singed doesn‘t mean you have to burn it down.”

“I could say the same to you.”

“Fuck this bridge,” Mishima says.

akaGingerK I‘d say Mishima is my favorite, but my favorite rotates with the POV characters 2mo
