Haven‘t been to the beach recently but am planning another holiday in Crete in September!
This is on our favorite beach there, one of my happiest places on earth, a true blessing, we go as often as we can manage.
I‘ve spent so many blissful bookish hours there 😌

10-14-17: Books in Nature. I'm so far behind because I was waiting to get some Nature for this book to be photographed in! #bookriot #riotgram #booksinnature #anobjectofbeauty #stevemartin

Pickpick

This book that is built on astronomy and the greater questions is basically an argument for their futility. Be curious, ask questions, and learn, yes but also tend to your heart. Relationships matter, "for small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love." I don't care if it's saccharine, I love this book. #riotgrams #booksinnature

#catchingup on #riotgrams #day14 - #booksinnature

For someone who only came to know Coates through BtWaM, this collection of essays proved a great compendium of his earlier and less publicized works. The writing is consistently stellar, while the framing of the essays highlights his growth as a writer as well as the coalescing of the views and ideas he holds today. Essential reading.

#riotgrams #catchingup #BooksInNature @bookriot The weather is not at all conducive to reading outdoors, so this is a completely staged pic. I'm actually standing inside!

I'm still not sure I'm enjoying this book. I'm on page 34. It's going so slowly. It doesn't call to me. I may have to DNF it. I'll give it another 25-50 pages.

@bookriot #RiotGrams October Challenge -#booksinnature, the husband reading #danubia by #simonwinder, bought at #shakespeareandcovienna, on the lawns of the lovely #burggartenwien with the #Schmetterlinghaus looming large over him. The book's a really fascinating account of the Habsburgs.

Just a few Everyman Library editions "taking the air" on the patio this fine fall day. #riotgrams #booksinnature

#booksinnature? How about books about nature? (Dr. Herzog was a professor at my university for many years, though I sadly wasn't able to take any of his classes before he left 😣). #riotgrams
