tpixie Ooh fun! I lived reading about Arthur as a child. Morgan will be fun to read about! Sygne Pike has King Arthur series I want to read about & there‘s a king Arthur with a female lead twist that Marie Benedict loved as a girl that I also want to read

📖 The Quest for Merlin by Nikolai Tolstoy

Bookwomble I have this one, too 😊 I read it in the '80s during my peak Arthurian phase, so it's a bit hazy now, but I remember enjoying it. Have you read the tagged? It's Tolstoy's fantasy retelling of the Merlin story based on Welsh traditions, and I really enjoyed this one. It was intended as the first in a trilogy, which was sadly sidelined when he lost a libel suit.

bibliothecarivs @Bookwomble, I have not read that one. Your description made me think of The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart, which I did read about 30 years ago for school and enjoyed.

I had bought this book used over ten years ago. I loved the way it was written. It is an Arthurian tale mainly told through the eyes of Elaine. I enjoyed reading this book. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
