pickSo cute, inclusive, and adventurous. It was a delight seeing the dads always holding a book in the storytime depictions. I also loved that this is not only a story about queer families, but also about an adopted child.
This completes one of my #FabulousFebruary goals.

Considering how much I adored The Books of Pellinor series and by extension the author, Alison Croggon AND the fact that there is a cover quote that name checks Tolkien from none other than Tamora Pierce - it‘s almost hard to believe I haven‘t read this PREQUEL that I‘ve owned since it published in 2016 😅 maybe I thought I should reread the other books first?
OMG I just found out I MISSED THIS ONE!!! My fav series The Books of Pellinor are now FIVE!! Can‘t wait to dig into this one. Then may have to reread the whole series for the fourth or fifth time!!
