On the eighth day of Christmas my favorite book of August was a narrative nonfiction about The Last Days of the Dinosaurs. To be fair this was the only book I finished in August but it was still good!

TheEllieMo This has been a popular choice. Who knew a book on dinosaurs could become a top read of the year! 22h

Love, love, loved this beautiful book about the women who loved Emily Dickinson and their efforts to get her work published. Exquisite!

TheKidUpstairs Loved this one, too. I just got Paper Houses for Christmas, I have high hopes! Have you read it? 1d

Missed yesterday so here are my June & July picks.
June - I read a lot but didn't love many. But tagged classic by John Wyndham has stayed with me.
July - was captivated by this somewhat creepy YA tale by Mahy

TheEllieMo The only Wyndham I‘ve read is Day of the Triffids! 2d

May was a toss up between this and Stephen Fry's excellent Odyssey. Anyone who knows me knows I love Greek mythology, but I'm kind of a football fanatic, so it was an easy choice. Both were 5 star reads, and highly recommended.

TheEllieMo A great read for lovers of football. I‘m afraid that I didn‘t inherit my Dad‘s love of the game, though 3d
