Facing decades-old trauma to help the next generation. The last of Boyne‘s four novella series. All intertwined, all explore abuse and trauma. Very thoughtfully crafted.
#TheElements
These 4 novellas were fabulous! I loved the premise of 4 seperate stories of crime that were interconnected. Each one focuses on a different crime perspective, the enabler, the victim, the accomplice and the perpetrator. Very tough themes. And how good do these books look? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So happy to get the fourth installment in this series “The Elements.” Four unique stories, novellas really, all connected in ways that you don‘t see coming, each one its own journey. Highly recommend and a must to read in order. Try to get them all at one time as they‘re impossible to put down!
Oh I loved it. The perfect ending of the Elements series. Maybe not that traumatic but at least as moving. This is the story of Aaron who travels either his 14 years old son from Australia to the small Irish island where it all started. What a read 💝

Absolutely loved it and a fitting end to a truly brilliant series , elements are 4 of the best books Iv ever read ! Not my fav but ties everything up perfectly & not as shocking as the other 3 and dare I say a “happier” ending. A whole series which brilliantly captures the trauma inflicted on people by a handful of others , I urge everyone to read them
#WeeklyForecast 20/25
An exciting reading week ahead! I just started Time of the Flies, which drew me in immediately. Next will be the tagged, which I can‘t wait to read either. I hope to start Theory & Practice as well, recommended by @sarahbarnes , and if there‘s time left I might even start Audition, out first #CampLitsy25 read (not on photo).
A fabulous final book in the Elements series. Not covering as distressing / upsetting scenarios as in the other three books, but wrapping up and linking the other stories together. Another propulsive read - inhaled it in about an hour.
Thanks to @TrishB for letting me know that this had been published and, if hubby said yesterday ‘I‘m ordering something from Amazon, do you need anything?‘ , then it‘s not me spending money on books, is it?! 🤣
Last one in the series- not quite as traumatic as others, but revisits some past characters and ties up the stories.
These have been incredible, dark and emotional reads.
