Who would I become if I wasn't at the mercy of men?
Wow! OMG the second one needs to come out asap. I loved Odesa, the Guardian & Zavier. That cliffhanger! I need more of this world & these characters. I feel like I am writing with Odesa‘s inner monologue. SJM has a run for her money with this one. I may be in a book hangover for this one. I had only read one other book by this author which was just as engrossing who is fast becoming an auto read for me!!!
Happy Reading!!
This was a pick , but I don‘t think it‘s worth all the hype,I am hoping the next one will be better 🤷♀️

Wow, this was fantastic. I‘m loving this new trend where some of my favorite contemporary romance authors are dabbling in the fantasy genre, and they‘re killing it. This was intriguing without being confusing, and I'm so looking forward to book #2.
Samantha Brentmoor does most of the narrating, and she does it very well. Jason Clarke has only a small part, but I‘m hoping he has a full dual perspective in future books which is possible.
I only read 7 books in June. My lowest in a LONG time. The tagged was my favorite read of the month.
I LOVED this book!!!! Arranged/forced marriage, politics, monsters, world building, some grey characters, great main character energy…
Highly recommend and what do you think of it???
The world building was excellent and I enjoyed Odessa‘s story so much I can ignore the times the male lead made confusing decisions seemingly only so the plot would go in a certain direction. The romance was a slowwwww burn. I‘d read the next one.
Randomly picked this up on KU. I actually really liked this Romantasy. The romance part took WAY TOO Long! Like 80% into the book. The world building was interesting and the different monsters were fun. I will definitely pick up the next book.
Huge fan of this world and the characters. A princess I could actually relate to. Odessa isn't super clever or a skilled fighter. She's a normal girl (plus a crown) who likes to read. Yes, the guardian is attractive and rude, but his back story was unique, so still points for breaking the romantasy mold. I will absolutely be reading the next book. I might even go wild and pre-order it.

5⭐️ yes I think this book is amazing and equally as amazing as everyone says it is. I love the hero arch that‘s been started for Odessa and THAT CLIFFHANGER! The Guardian and all his mystique really helped carry the love triangle. I‘ve read a LOT of fantasy/romantasy this year and this is by far my favorite, with many more reveals ahead I hope book2 lives up to its potential.
Got this beautiful looker. Okay, maybe I judged a book by its cover, but it was a gamble worth taking. Intrigued to see where this one is taking me, and if it takes me somewhere I like, there‘s plenty of other books and series from this author waiting out there..
A truly excellent fantasy romance (very slow burn). This has genuine world building, characters that you care deeply about and I cannot wait to continue this series. Highly recommend to those that like a good love story in their fantasy but an actual story and not just steamy scenes. 5⭐️
I LOVE THIS BOOK. Audio. Like, what was THAT??? Especially that ending twist. This is definitely a Witcher-esque story, with its monsters. That also built into the slow-burn and the whole saying “I hate you” because it‘s easier. I emotionally felt attached to both Odessa and the Guardian. This was brought out well throughout the story, to when she said enough to that.
I loved the audio book so much!!! The narration was spot on. Loved the characters and the story was so good. I need r o get the physical copy of this book!!! I rated the book a 4 out of 5 stars.
