Is anyone else having trouble with Goodreads?
I was doubled over with laughter here😂🤣 a nice change of pace from several serious books recently. Hits close to home if you're a parent of anyone 5 or under 😍

I stayed up way past my bedtime- again. 😫😴

This is a novel about what happens when a wife and mother who is seldom home is suddenly unemployed and stuck looking after the children. Plenty of snark, but I just couldn't identify with all the motherhood and marriage angst, no matter how entertainingly written. #NetGalley
A kid named Rarity?!?
Loved Life After Coffee and added it and the rest of these books to my Little Free Library today.
Life After Coffee was a satisfying surprise! When I read the synopsis for this one, it reminded me of other novels with the same premise: Working mom loses fulfilling job and must become a stay-at-home parent. But this one had me laughing and nodding and shaking my head too. The characters are real, with quirks and flaws, and they make mistakes. Big mistakes. I'll be excited to see what Virginia Franken does next!
I don't drink coffee (love the smell though), but this book made me want to pick up the habit! Impeccable research of coffee beans, brewing, manufacturing, and industry. A great gift for every coffee loving woman you know. If her wit can be acerbic, even better. This protagonist is snarky, smart, and doing her very best as mother, wife, and woman with a passion.
I can't get enough of this book!! Plus poolside reading is the best.
