June wrapup!
+2 Reactor magazine short story collections that weren't in Storygraph
+2 bails
Not a super strong month, felt pretty meh about most of these except Saga which is still a favourite. But I am excited that I finally finished and returned the last of a stack of books* I borrowed from my sister aaages ago. Win!

*that she wanted back. I still have the much bigger stack that she doesn't want back once I'm done with them 🙃

I heard that Saga vol 12 was out the other week, and since we were going to the mall anyway and I had a gift card, I thought perfect, I'm treating myself. Then for some reason I figured I'd better check my shelves first... And surprise, I was missing 11. Dunno how I missed it, but glad I checked. Now I'm doubly spoiled and have two Saga volumes to sink into! I think I'll start 11 tonight. #bookhaul

Mehso-so

I must be in a mood today: I DNFed the previous GN I picked up, DNFed a film and a couple of shows on TV, then was underwhelmed by Saga 10, nearly bailed due to boredom but made it through, and found Vol 11 only marginally better.
I think I'm done with Vaughan's and Staples' "Rick the People's Poet" attempts at edginess, and find I care little about the characters, who fucks whom, or who lives or dies.
Will Vol 12 appear? Will I read it? ??‍♂️

Pickpick

Saga just keeps on rolling. I like that it has morphed into a coming-of-age story for Hazel and Squire. The image of the robot people having tvs for heads is endlessly funny.

I meant to save SAGA VOL 11 for the Readathon tomorrow, but I started it while I doggiesat these three tonight and that was it. No pausing possible.

It‘s nice to see Vaughan and Staples are still aggressively committed to their attempt to kill me. The hits, they just keep on a-comin‘ with this series.

Also, I always seem to look after these guys on their birthdays. Cooper, the curly one in the middle, is now three!

Saga 11 was just marvellous again. I love immersing myself in this world even though almost every collected volume makes me cry at least once.

Fun fact : my only cosplay first place was as Izabel the ghost babysitter (perfect for a wheelchair user!)

Here's an update on the Mythia blanket I posted the other day. #litsycrafters

Velvetfur Wow! Have you made that blanket? It's beautiful! 13mo
Lauredhel @Velvetfur this is just the centre bit - I'm starting crocheting Part 4 of the pattern today (it's a crochet along released in weekly parts) 13mo

I was waiting for this for so long! Glad to be back in the world of Saga and see the story pick up. I‘m just as enthralled as ever.
