Excellent story, weird graphics. Figuring out the characters at first was confusing but now I want to read more.

Spending a week with a group of high school, college, & more recent fiends at an isolated house on a lake can‘t be a good idea, can it? Well, ten people are about to learn the answer to that question & what they discover will have you turning pages furiously as one twist after another switches everything up. An excellent story—Tynion writes horror better than just about everyone—with fantastic art & colors. Eisner Award winner indeed. Loved it.

I realized I never posted this for vol. 1 when I read it... hehe my bad ?
The opening, though, hooked me. The tense mystery surrounding the unknown narrator, as she starts with telling the reader, "it was the end of a late night in Brooklyn" leading into a past memory, a brief moment that seems like nothing but is a snippet of a larger picture.
Told across multiple POVs and across days, this volume just grazes the beginning of what's to come.

This graphic novel is bizarre but in a way that draws you in and makes it impossible to stop reading.
I'm still not entirely sure what's happening, or where the story is headed, but I'm in for the wild ride ahead.

A luxury lake home vacation turns dark and sinister in this apocalyptic graphic novel. Unsettling and intriguing. Can‘t wait to get my hands on the second volume (out March 7)!

I'm addicted to James Tynion IV's graphic novels. The horror and illustrations work so well together. In this series, Walter gathers some friends at a lake house to try to save them from intergalactic annihilation. Looking forward to Volume 2.

Ryan accepts an invitation to a swanky lakeside mansion in Wisconsin from Walter, a man that she first met in a NY bar who asked her how she thought the world would end. Also invited are several other acquaintances & friends of Walter's. From the writer of Something is Killing etc, this volume was wild. This is a limited series, with vol. 2 out early next year. I can't wait. I would also like to note that this is a DC Black Label publication.👇

Found this in a Comic book store on our camping weekend and had to read it on this cool and rainy morning. A timely, creepy post-apocalyptic story of a group is semi-friends and the friend that connects them. I don‘t want to say anything else, but a great story and I look forward to continuing this comic series. 5⭐️

A few pages from the graphic novel that struck me as good examples of the artistic style and use of vibrant color and contrast of light and dark.

First 5 ⭐️ read of 2022!
Clue meets Cabin in the Woods meets Lost? Walter invites his interconnected group of friends on a weekend getaway at a lake house…then chaos ensues? This genre mashup features a gorgeous art style, and it‘s the first graphic novel that has truly gripped me since discovering Saga. The vibrant cast of characters, with Walter at the center of the web, narrate the story in a past/present/future structure. Can‘t wait for more!
