Every time she mentioned a scene or some dialogue or a song, I was able to easily picture it in my head. So it was fun to learn of so much that happened behind the scenes. At 21, but playing one of the children, Charmian was sort of between the adult and child actors on the set. If you love #TheSoundOfMusic, you should definitely read Charmian Carr's lovely memoir about playing Liesl! Her stories focus both on the making of the film, and everything that came next. I particularly love her focus on her relationships with her on-screen siblings; she includes a letter from Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich) that I find so wonderfully sweet. As a life-long SOM fan, this is a book I've returned to many times! #MoviesInApril

Three #marvelousmemoirs that I realized I had. I had to read Forever Liesl because I love ❤ The Sound of Music. I have read almost all of Jen Lancaster's books, and I found Lauren Graham's book at the library yesterday.

I've always loved The Sound of Music 🎶 and especially Liesl. Charmian Carr wrote a very sweet book about her time making the movie, and the way it impacted her life. I don't think many people are aware that she passed away a few months ago, it was not well publicized. I was very saddened to hear of her passing. I would highly recommend this book to fans of the movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm a "Sound of Music" movie groupie, so I'm choosing the 7 Von Trapp kids as my #favsiblings. I've read books on both the "real" and "celluloid" siblings and this one by eldest movie daughter Liesl is a gem. Filled with sweet stories about the making of the movie, meeting the real Von Trapps and the funny mishaps behind the scenes.
