At 13 years old me and #mygeneration were reading Sweet Valley High while these days my nearly 13yo is reading Hunger Games. Hmmm. No regrets for reading SWV but I do wish we‘d had some more kick ass options! Then again maybe that‘s why I started reading adult novels from around that point - a mixed blessing!

MinDea My sister read SVH growing up. I didn't. I read RL Stine and quickly moved to Stephen King and Dean Koontz! 8y

Centique @MinDea I remember selling miles of R.L. Stine in the bookshop I worked in back in the 90s. Our middle grade range was 80% Stine. 🙌 8y

Moving on to books 11 and 12, then super excited to read the rest of the series on kindle unlimited. Question for everyone: is it useless for me to post reviews of Sweet Valley books on here? I know it probably seems weird that I'm so excited to read these lol, but these were such a huge part of my childhood and I count them responsible for my love of reading now. #booknerd #sweetvalley #SVH #twins #yesiamadork 📚🤓📚
