I haven‘t blocked them or anything, but I couldn‘t wait to show y‘all the mittens I just finished!

I‘m glad I got the tagged book in my library grab bag. This Scandinavian knitting style looks so complicated that I probably never would‘ve tried it without that push. Now I know it‘s relatively easy AND a lot of fun.

I finished my Dala Horse hat! Unfortunately, it‘s one of those projects that looks way better laid flat than on someone‘s head, but it sure was fun to knit.

I think I might make the matching mittens, but in cream & blue because I‘m out of this variegated pink yarn. I also want to make the fox mittens from earlier in the tagged book, but I‘ll need to source some white & rust yarn before I can get started there.

I‘m knitting the Dala Horse hat from the tagged book, and I‘m finally far enough into the design that you can tell what it is! Hurray!

This is the first time I‘ve ever knit a piece like this, and I‘m a little bit worried I knit it at too small a gauge. It would‘ve been a hat for giants if I‘d used another needle size up, though, and it‘s wool. I figure it‘ll stretch.

alisiakae I love how it looks! 4y

xicanti @4thhouseontheleft thanks! I‘m excited to finish it up and top it with a fake fur bobble. 4y

My first library grab bag came in, along with a couple other holds! All the craft books look interesting, but I‘m especially excited for the tagged knitting book. It‘s got a lot of intriguing patterns.

I‘m also glad they had this 1901 Eaton‘s catalogue reproduction. I saw it at the thrift store recently and thought it‘d be fun to look through, but I didn‘t need to own it. (Plus, I‘m trying for a purchase-free month.) Libraries are great.
