Christmas at the Little Knitting Box
Christmas at the Little Knitting Box | Helen Rolfe
7 posts | 6 read | 5 to read
Christmas is coming and New York is in full swing for the snowy season. But at The Little Knitting Box in the West Village, things are about to change ...The Little Knitting Box has been in Cleo's family for nearly four decades, and since she arrived fresh off the plane from the Cotswolds four years ago, Cleo has been doing a stellar job of running the store. But instead of an early Christmas card in the mail this year, she gets a letter that tips her world on its axis.Dylan has had a tumultuous few years. His marriage broke down, his mother passed away and he's been trying to pick up the pieces as a stay-at-home dad. All he wants this Christmas is to give his kids the home and stability they need. But when he meets Cleo at a party one night, he begins to see it's not always so easy to move on and pick up the pieces, especially when his ex seems determined to win him back. When the snow starts to fall in New York City, both Cleo and Dylan realise life is rarely so black and white and both of them have choices to make. Will Dylan follow his heart or his head? And will Cleo ever allow herself to be a part of another family when her own fell apart at the seams?Full of snow, love and the true meaning of Christmas, this novel will have you hooked until the final page.

This wasn't bad, but even at 7 hours, it felt a bit long. I don't knit. The love interests were a bit boring. The narrator felt a bit too proper. It was a Hoopla bonus for November that I snagged last minute for Winter Games. I was drawn in by the cover, if I'm honest. Cleo owns the Knitting Box. Dillon's a single dad. This could be a case of "it's not you, it's me". But yay for points!

Another feel good Christmas story. Another audiobook while cooking and cleaning today.

Maybe I will make my goal this year after all!

Loved the setting of NYC and Connecticut, and loved Dylan and his kids. Cleo was a bit immature when it came to her step mom and her self-awareness, but I loved her store and her friendships, so I'll overlook it. #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders #HolidayRead @Clwojick 26pts

Have you ever started a book and not realized it was a collection of stories? That happened to me last night I got to the end of Christmas Cocoa Murder, and I thought it was weird that there was still so much time left on the audio, only to realize that there are 2 more stories, lol. Currently listening to Christmas Cocoa and a Corpse. It's Saturday, but I have work today, hopefully you don't! #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders @Clwojick 551pts

Clwojick @Traci1 it was cute but pretty similar to the other Xmas ones out there. I still feel like it‘s worth a listen though. 3y
