Today's author spotlight: Sharon Kay Penman! The 72-year-old NYT-bestselling author was born in NYC and grew up in New Jersey, having attended Rutgers School of Law. While a student, she researched and wrote a 400-page manuscript, which was stolen from her car. She didn't write for 5 years. She would rewrite it to 936 pages and have it published in 1982. DGRachel I ❤️ her!!!! She is my favorite historical fiction author. I actually made a fool of myself in a Borders once when I saw a new release on the shelves (I didn‘t know it was out yet). The store clerk asked if I needed help, I saw the book while I was getting ready to tell him I was “just looking”, and literally squealed and rushed past him to grab it. 🤣🤣 6y

Andrew65 I love her too, her Welsh Princes Trilogy is my favourite all time trilogy and there are a lot of trilogies to choose from! If you like Historical Fiction you need to read her, and so many of her books fit #yearofthechunkster 6y
