Three days back at work-no students until next week. So many changes: classroom changes to create freshman, sophomore, etc. clusters; hybrid planning, co teaching more classes to service students, PD on Covid, SEL, etc. etc. my head is spinning. I can only imagine how parents are feeling! Hence 2 very different books for my scattered brain. Both books #blameitonlitsy

Scochrane26 My area started today-virtual learning. It was an interesting day. One of my clients was having a meltdown, but I think my others were ok. 4y

Butterfinger @Scochrane26 their routines are gone. This was my third day of teaching virtually. I was so afraid it would be hard to build a community, but I started knowing their voices and quirks today. I'd still rather have them physically. It's tough, but doable. I'll be thinking of both of you. 4y

kspenmoll @Butterfinger It sounds like you are off to a good start! I really can‘t wait to see the students, masks and all. They are putting up glass shields at our desks- on the one hand will it help? But such a physical barrier feels not quite right to me. So much to get used to. Stay in touch!!! 4y

I was thinking of books for #booked2019 prompts & for #irishauthor I wanted to go w a female writer. Only a couple of names (Maeve Binchy, Tana French) immediately came to mind so I decided to put google to work. Of course after I came up w these eight, I‘ve found even more. Who are your favourite Irish women writers?

I've had a bit of a reading slump as life has been getting in the way.

Since I have so much else to share I'll simply say that I liked this book.

Lynnsoprano Love the daffodils. We live on Daffodil Drive, but they don't grow in Florida. Otherwise, I'd have them everywhere. 7y

Libby1 @Lynnsoprano - I didn't know they didn't grow in Florida! I'm from Illinois originally and it amazes me just how early the Spring flowers appear in the UK. In Wales the national holiday equivalent to their St. Patrick's Day is St. David's Day which takes place on March 1. Like Patrick's shamrock, St. D's symbol was the daffodil. They always appear shortly before March 1 here. 😊 7y

Laalaleighh Read it when you need something that can just take you completely away from the world. That's when I did and it was such a lovely escape from reality for awhile. 7y
