A Mrs. Miracle Christmas
A Mrs. Miracle Christmas: A Novel | Debbie Macomber
21 posts | 19 read | 7 to read
Mrs. Miracle shows an ordinary family that they are blessed beyond belief in this uplifting holiday tale from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber. As the holiday season begins, Laurel McCullough could use some good news. She and her husband, Zach, have been praying for a baby that seems more and more like an impossible dream, and they've had to move in with her beloved grandmother, Helen, who's having trouble taking care of herself. But when Laurel contacts a local home care organization for help, there are no caregivers available. Then Mrs. Miracle appears at her door. No stranger to lending a helping hand to a family in need, Mrs. Miracle reveals herself to be nothing short of a godsend. Helen's even convinced she's an angel! Still, Laurel has to admit that Helen has become noticeably happier and more engaged, decorating the family Christmas tree and revisiting old hobbies with Mrs. Miracle's companionship. In the meantime, Laurel and Zach begin to encounter curious signs, all pointing toward the arrival of a special baby. With Christmas approaching, there appears to be even more to Mrs. Miracle than meets the eye. In a classic turn of Debbie Macomber's signature seasonal magic, Laurel, Zach, and Helen experience a holiday of heavenly proportions.

I honestly feel bad because I didn't really care for this story. It was written well. I've enjoyed every Debbie Macomber book I've read, but this story annoyed me more than anything. The main conflict of the story didn't really seem like that big of a deal, it was resolved with a simple conversation where they actually took the time to listen. I did enjoy pieces of it. I especially liked the talks about angels between Mrs. Miracle and the grandma.

Another joyful book celebrating Christmas. Laurel has reached her limit in attempts to have or adopt a baby. Gritting her teeth and shutting down the subject, she moved on with her life. That is, until Mrs. Miracle comes to help her Nana.

FeatherV This looks so cute! Debbie Macomber is the perfect Christmas time author 2y

Finished this book on Christmas. It was okay. It did not give me the feels I was expecting. The story of Laurel getting to adopt a baby would have been good but the author gave away the ending early on so that investment just wasn't there.

Hope everyone had a nice holiday.

Another Christmas winner from Debbie Macomber. This time it follows a couple who have given up trying to have a baby or adopt and have moved in with the wife‘s grandmother who has early memory loss. Mrs. Miracle, an angel, comes to help both the couple and grandmother. This is audiobook 1/2 for #dashingdecember and #wintersolstice. 375 points for #merryreaders in #wintergames

Book 1 down on December‘s all Christmas TBR!!

I always love how Debbie Macomber can make you feel like you are wrapped in a warm blanket from her storytelling and this one was no different! I loved seeing what mrs. Miracle, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy have been up to. A feel good holiday story for sure!

Bookworm54 21 points :) is this part of a series? 4y
Kshakal @Bookworm54 no but it has some characters you see in other books of hers 4y
Bookworm54 I quite like it when books are linked like that, but with no obligation to read them all or in a particular order. Lucy Dillon is another author who has recurring characters pop up in the background of stories 4y
