A History of Art in 21 Cats
A History of Art in 21 Cats | Nia Gould
1 post | 1 to read
Art history gets a fun feline makeover with 21 purr-fectly cultured cats in the styles of ancient and modern masters. Become litter-ate in the basics of important art movements through a host of beautifully illustrated cats, each one inspired by a specific period in art hiss-tory: Surrealism, Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, Ancient Egyptian (of course), and many more. From Claude Meow-net to Jackson Paw-llock, these creative cats will introduce you to key themes and artists you won't soon fur-get. Purr-haps even inspiring you to make your own version!

Centique @batsy I‘m so back list! But those are both books I‘d love to reread. 😍 2y
LeeRHarry Becky Chambers made it onto my list too - the previous one - need to get to this one 😊 2y
BarbaraBB Wow what a list. We love so many of the same books! I‘m taking a screenshot to stack the ones I haven‘t read yet! 🤍 2y
CarolynM Screenshotting for future reference🙂 Real Life only just missed the cut for my list, Boyfriend Material was on last year's list (can't wait for Husband Material) and I'm looking forward to The Guncle. 2y
merelybookish Wow, so many great titles! Real Life, Owl Service, Homegoing. And I bought a copy of Bless Me, Ultima so now must read it! Most of my reading has been backlist this year too. Thanks for the tag! 2y
Liz_M I loved Remains of the Day! Almost a perfect novel. 2y
Billypar Thanks for the tag! I second @Liz_M 's feelings on Remains of the Day. The Round House is another great one - it was the first Erdrich I read. 2y
Nute Thanks for the tag, Paula!💕 Fantastic reading this year. The Remains of the Day will always be at top of my best reading experiences…always! I am discovering so many new books because of everyone‘s choices. Reading through these posts is like a Saturday morning heavenly literary smorgasbord from some of my most favorite people on the planet! Such a delight!💕 (edited) 2y
Cinfhen Fabulous picks!!! Need to check out some titles I‘m not familiar with ☺️ 2y
Reggie The top 3 to the left-❤️❤️❤️ 2y
LeahBergen Ooo, lovely! Especially Highsmith and Pym. 😊 2y
Crazeedi I need to get mine together! You have a great list!! 2y
Centique @Reggie I think Memorial and Real Life are my joint “best of year” and then Galaxy and Anthropocene are the books I needed to read to put my heart back together this year. 💕 2y
Centique @LeeRHarry it‘s a hug of a book this one 💕 2y
Centique @BarbaraBB we have similar tastes in literary fiction I reckon! I always know if you or @Ruthiella like something I‘m bound to like it too 😍 2y
Centique @CarolynM I‘m so glad I discovered Alexis Hall through you! I signed up for the email newsletters as well. 2y
Centique @Liz_M @Billypar I totally agree @Nute There is something so elegant about the way Ishiguro withholds information, the whole book is poised on a knife edge and you don‘t realise how carefully balanced it all is until the end. I also loved Never Let Me Go. 🙌🙌 2y
BarbaraBB We certainly have similar tastes. I loved so many of these books! Looking forward to another year of following along! 2y
Ruthiella Fantastic list! The Becky Chambers was almost on mine too, but I had to be ruthless to keep it to 21! This one is 100% on my TBR 2y
andrew61 Thanks for the tag Paula, some great choices and I'm looking forward to trying some of them next year. Was it the Alan Garner Owl Service as Backlisted just discussed his new bk and I'd like in 2021 to revisit him. 2y
Cathythoughts Thanks for the tag ! Screenshot taken if this post 👍🏻😁 2y
Centique @Ruthiella I hope you love it! 2y
Centique @andrew61 yes it was the Alan Garner one - somebody just mentioned his new one to me too! 2y
