Such a fun mystery! For a cozy it retained a bit of that classic English detective novel feel which I wasn‘t expecting. I sort of figured the title was a parody in and of itself, but no, it was a major theme running through the book and I found it well done, and charming. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick +16 pts

I read my #BookSpin! Yay me! I liked it. I didn‘t love it unreservedly, but it‘s very enjoyable, and if you like the golden age of literary mysteries you‘ll really enjoy it. The first half was a bit slow, the second half picked up. The characters and the setting are all fun. Definitely a cozy mystery; not a dark thriller, so it was a welcome break in that sense. There‘s a second book out, and it‘s on my list.

I restrained myself and only bought one book today at B&N. Another cute looking #cozymysyery about a librarian. I think I need it after Severance, When No One is Watching, and The One. Last month was NOT exactly light and fluffy.

I want to be a librarian detective. Where can I get that job? 🤔

Hayley Burke is the curator of Lady Fowling‘s First Edition Library - of women mystery writers such as Agatha Christie. Of course there is a murder in the library, a cat, a love interest...all set in beautiful Bath England. Lovely cozy mystery. Just what I needed!

Does anyone remember this author

This new cozy mystery series involves an irresistible combination: mystery + library + Agatha Christie (and other Golden Age mystery authors). The well-written story delivers what you expect from a cozy mystery, and I enjoyed the characters. I will definitely continue this series as new books come out, and I hope to see the main character dive deeper into the collection of mysteries that she curates.
