I somehow read this series completely out of order, but each book was amazing. I love each couple for different reasons. Mulligan was my favorite hero, but Florence is my favorite sister.

The MCs are both smart, funny, and stubborn. The setting of old New York has me dreaming of time travel. The bad boy, Clayton, looking for revenge, trying to forsake love had my heart from the beginning. Florence wants no man.

Lauren_reading She has dreams of running her own casino for ladies and I appreciate how Shupe ends the book with Florence remaining true to herself. 3y

Laying down with an ebook for the first time in awhile. I don‘t read ebooks often but occasionally it‘s the only format my library offers for a book I want to read. Am I the only one who feels pressured when I borrow an ebook to return it as soon as possible? 😅😂 I have 21 days and I think I need to finish it in the first couple! Yes I‘m crazy and have anxiety!
Have the Witcher on as background noise because I like when he says f**k 👀🤣

I‘m exhausted and my eyes hurt. #24B4Monday time: 6:55:33 for today.

Florence is a great, headstrong, ahead of her time woman. She knows what she wants and doesn‘t care if it doesn‘t fit in with society. There were a lot of characters introduced and just kind of went away. Clay‘s revenge storyline was a little weak and his motivation was eh. But it‘s a romance so you know they are going to work out their differences.

I continue to not entirely love Shupe but it‘s not bad, I just don‘t like the abrupt about faces in some of the characters. So a so-so.

I did not even come close to finishing my goal last year reading only 64 of 150 books but I‘m determined to read more this year. Starting with one of my most anticipated releases. I only discovered Joanna Shupe this past summer but she‘s quickly become one of my favorite romance authors. This book was just as fantastic as I expected!
