Regency England, August 1812. Sebastian's plans to escape the heat of London for a honeymoon are shattered when the murdered body of Hero's good friend, Gabrielle Tennyson, is discovered drifting in a battered boat at the site of a long-vanished castle known as Camlet Moat.

EadieB A beautiful young antiquarian, Miss Tennyson had recently provoked an uproar with her controversial identification of the island as the location of Camelot. Missing and presumed also dead are Gabrielle's two young cousins, nine-year-old George and three-year-old Alfred. 1y
EadieB This is the 7th book of the Sebastian St Cyr mystery series. I read this wits a group on LibraryThing. This book was full of characters and likely suspects. It was so secretive that I did not guess the killer until it was revealed at the end of the book. 1y
EadieB The plot was terrific but the real reason for the murder was not revealed until the very end but even though we were not able to tell who the killer was and the reason for the murder, I still gave her 5 stars as the book was that good. So if you love book with hidden secrets than you would love this book. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and I hope that Sebastian and Hero share secrets with each other. 1y

Another excellent book in the Sebastian St Cyr Series. These are all so well written and this one has good links to King Arthur and Camelot. It also details the openings day of Sebastian and Hero‘s marriage, which is quite tentative. My only beef is the author in my opinion kept back sone vital information till right to the end.

17th Book finished for #WinterReadathon @EadieB

Starting book 7 in the exceptionally good Sebastian St Cyr Series, which I am reading as part of a group read on Librarything. This is set in 1812 and is a historical mystery with great lead characters.

PathfinderNicole One of my all time favorite series!! 1y
Andrew65 @PathfinderNicole It is a superb series, and surprisingly given it is set in ‘England, not always that easy to get hold of over here. 1y

For a buck ninety-nine, I didn‘t think I could go wrong with this as a companion on an up-coming bus trip. Anyone read this series?

I can‘t put these books down! I don‘t think I will get any sleep until I finish the entire series. On to What Darkness Brings.

To give a proper review would spoil the characters‘ developments…so I‘ll urge you to start the series 😉

Another winner in the St. Cyr mystery series. I love how these books move along, not only as whodunnits, but also with the mysteries being uncovered in the lives of the characters...just the right pace to keep me interested and happy 😊. #romantsy #osrbc
