Shelley: Selected Poetry (Revised)
Shelley: Selected Poetry (Revised) | Percy Bysshe Shelley

Shelley's work has been criticized for its didacticism and undisciplined emotionalism. But essentially, he was a poet of ideas and in his search for truth and original human perfection, Shelley was inspired as much by the Greek poets and philosophers. Above all, his great gift was his lyricism and his verse comes as near to music as poetry can.

I saw this and giggled because I‘ve seen “discussion” in the last month about how no one would know who Mary Shelley was if it were for who she was married to no one should know who she was. Um....

What is art if not an attempt to fight our fate as #dustinthewind?
(Sand, dust kind of similar right?)

One of my finner prizes, no copyright but research gives a hint of mid to late 1800s 😁 collected and put together by W.M. Rossetti.

I adore flipping through these pages and reading Percy's poetry.

You are now
In London, that great sea, whose ebb and flow
At once is deaf and loud, and on the shore
Vomits its wrecks, and still howls on for more.
Yet in its depth what treasures!
