Agatha and her neighbor decide to investigate a supposed haunted house. As usual, Agatha got a bit more than she bargained for in this escapade. History and murder play a role, as Agatha continues to try and figure out her love life. Poor Agatha! Another fun listen.

Agatha is my road buddy for long commutes. I haven‘t listened to one yet that I dislike.

Book was ok. It started out very slow but then finally got better halfway through.

Happy Halloween, Littens! 🎃 Today was a very long day but I got home with just enough time to squeeze in a little haunted house story with my favorite fallible sleuth!

Susannah Wait, are there Agatha Raisin episodes beyond the initial series?! This doesn‘t look familiar. 5y
BlameJennyJane @Susannah yeah, but they‘ve organized it rather strangely. First season was 8 episodes, second was 3 and technically season 3 began on Monday with just the one 98 min episode... like a Halloween special. But I understand Acorn has more in the works! You should check it out! It‘s a fun one! 😁🎃💀 5y
Lynnsoprano There is a tv series??? 5y
BlameJennyJane Indeed, @Lynnsoprano ! It‘s on Acorn (streaming service I get through Amazon Channels... they have a free trial period). Warning though- Agatha is blonde and a bit more Hollywood than the Aggie we know and love. Ashley Jensen is charming in the role though. It‘s a fun. 5y

Another excellent Agatha Raisin! The haunted house and mysterious history parts were perfect for October!! 🕯

The characters that feature in the story are very well described so that you get a vivid picture of each of the characters in your mind as your reading the novels, which also helps when you are trying to figure out who did it. The book is fast paced and doesn't move from the main story line like a few murder mystery books do so you end up losing track of what was going on it the story.

This book did make me laugh a fair few times.
There was one chapter in which Agatha sees the lady of the 'haunted' house in a white facemask in the middle of the night and it left me in stitches! Her reaction was priceless.
Fantastic read!
