Unfortunately, I did not like this story at all. A group of kids have a sleepover and soon there is a ginormous spider under the bed. As the short story evolves, more creepy things start happening and the kids plot their escape. There are tons of Harry Potter references that were lost on me. (I‘m probably one of the few people on the planet who has not read Harry Potter.) I didn‘t care for the narrator either.

TheRiehlDeal You‘re not alone. I haven‘t read the Harry Potter books either. 3y
NatalieR @TheRiehlDeal Thanks! I‘m glad I‘m not the only one. 😌 3y

Eh. This one didn‘t hit for me. The premise was kinda fun- kids making declarations without thinking them through and suffering because of it - but it just fell kinda flat.

So far this has been my favorite out of the Dark Corners series. I actually felt anxious reading this one. #darkcorners #amazonoriginals #kindlepaperwhite #kindleunlimited

3.5 - 4 stars
I don't quite know what to think of this short story. I enjoyed the nod to Harry Potter & did chuckle out loud a couple of times; however, overall I think I mostly just found the story to be weird. Not scary, creepy, but weird. That said, I feel like a 3.5 is too low & a 4 may be too high; so what do I know? Ha! Guess you need to read it yourself to find out.

This is book 3 in this series.

😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

It doesn't have great reviews, and so far it's just weird. That said, this made me laugh out loud at work. 😋

A number of reviewers did not like this story and I can see why. It's about a sleepover in which the kids' imaginations go off into some scary terrain. What you think you see is really what you end up getting. I have to admit that I doubted that conclusion about half-way through the story, so there was suspense for me, at least for a while. Overall, though, it's a weak candidate in the Amazon Dark Corners series.

This story was awesome 👏👏👏. So inventive, suspenseful, packed full of twists. I had no idea what to expect but I HAVE to share it now. Anyone looking for a great story to earn some extra points. It‘ll also make a great #AllHallowsRead for not too young kids. #happyhalloween all!

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick It popped up in my Prime Reads search and I ignored it. I will need to go rectify that soon. 3y

This is a short, quick read, and more ridiculous than scary. I quite enjoyed all the Harry Potter references! +16 #TeamHarkness #Scararthlon2020 #Screamathon2020
