Written by the illustrator of the cover art for Harry Potter and the Philosopher‘s Stone; a good middle grade book. Herbie lives in the basement of the Grand Nautilus Hotel. His job is to take care of lost items. One day a mysterious girl appears and introduces herself. She needs to find out where her lost parents are. The legendary malamander of the sea stands in their way. Loved the nautical words used to name the characters in this book.

4 ⭐️‘s. Listened on audible. The narrator is awesome and the story was a good one. All in all a fabulous middle grade the kiddies will probably love! Also my first book of 2021!

All my holds came in at once. 📚 😳 📚
Knowing I wouldn't have time to read everything, I thought I would read a few pages of Malamander and then return it.
I got to page 3 and never stopped reading.
This was a lot of fun. Lemony Snicket fan? You might enjoy this series. 😊
