Game of Thrones meets Gladiator in this debut epic fantasy about a world caught in an eternal war, and the young man who will become his people's only hope for survival. One in every two thousand women has the power to call down dragons. One in every hundred men is able to magically transform himself into a bigger, stronger, faster killing machine.Everyone else is fodder, destined to fight and die in the endless war.Young, gift-less Tau knows all this, but he has a plan of escape. Those closest to him are brutally murdered, and his grief swiftly turns to anger. Fixated on revenge, Tau dedicates himself to an unthinkable path. He'll become the greatest swordsman to ever live, a man willing to die a hundred thousand times for the chance to kill the three who betrayed him.The Rage of Dragons launches a stunning and powerful debut epic fantasy series that readers are already calling "the best fantasy book in years. The BurningThe Rage of Dragons

Current armchair situation. It‘s gloomy here in #RVA and I wish I could just burrow and read.

Alas, the school bus will be here any moment...

I was let down by the end of the dragon show, but there is more than enough dragon awesomeness in these 2019 releases to tip the scales. (Sorry not sorry.) Have you read any of them? 🐉🔮🔥

EchoLogical I haven't read them yet but I own The Rage of Dragons and The Priory of the Orange Tree. Looking forward to them both 7mo
Scash1114 @Liberty i read priory of the orange tree and was disappointed. I didn‘t think it lived up to the hype. Impressive world building though. 7mo
laurenbescoby I have the priory of the orange tree. It's high on my tbf! 7mo

Soubhiville I finished The Priory of the Orange Tree today, and my feelings mirror @Scash1114 . I think the story idea was excellent, but the execution was lacking. 7mo
AutumnRLS I enjoyed The Priory of the Orange Tree. There were parts that were too expository. Show me! Don't tell me! But the good outweighed the bad and a loved the romance. The Rage of Dragons is on my TBR. I've only heard good things. 7mo
