Daniel silva has hit the top with his new gabriel allon novel... A #1 New York Times bestseller! The death of a journalist leads Israeli spy Gabriel Allon to Russia, where he finds that, in terms of spycraft, even he has something to learn if he wants to prevent a former KGB colonel from delivering Russia's most sophisticated weapons to al-Qaeda.

I love this series and this was definitely a highlight so far in this series. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineview Couldn‘t put this one down and read it very intensively.
Gabriel Allon is fighting to try and prevent a Russian Oligarch selling ammunitions to Al Qaeda via an African country, before they are used in a massive terrorist attack. Plenty of subterfuge in this one. Can‘t wait to read the next one.

8 in the series, with number 9 below. The stakes are high in this thriller as Gabriel Allon is after arms dealers that have the most lethal weaponry that may be headed toward terrorist hands. There are always plot twists, intense action & intrigue in Silva‘s titles. From the French Riviera to Moscow , so many well done characters & double dealings keep you turning the pages.Silva just released the 21st book in the series , I have a long way to go!

#julyjourneys With Gabriel Allon being an art restoration expert & spy , he travels all over the world .Reading the tagged book , there are some scenes in #Rome , The Messenger, a previous book in the series spends a lot of time in The Eternal City .

vivastory I've never read any of these but I'm a bit curious, esp since I'm always a bit in the mood for a spy novel in the summer (edited) 3y
Leftcoastzen @vivastory Smart & sophisticated.I started them in order with The Kill Artist , but I believe you could grab any of them as a stand alone. The adversaries are intense and often have ulterior motives.Plus , you travel the world!I will definitely continue the series,I‘m just not a series binger, it will take me awhile. 3y

The author writes some of the best contemporary post- Cold War spy fiction. He is able to capture the essential tension between the ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in the field, and certainty of belief and motivation that drives the characters. Something of a rarity in contemporary spy fiction. Fortunately one doesn‘t have to read the series in sequence to enjoy it. (Though my wife would disagree.)

#bookhaul I decided to reward myself for being a nice person by a quick trip to The Book Rack. Slowly filling in my hardback collection of Silva's Gabriel Allon series (I own them all in Kindle, but decided I wanted the hardbacks for my library) and the first six Pennyroyal Green #romantsy because someone said JAL was funny. I like funny in my romance novels. 😊

robinb Oh YAY for JAL!!! She is funny and just an all around great writer! Wish I was starting the Pennyroyal Green series for the first time....enjoy!!!!! Would love to hear what you think! 7y
DGRachel @robinb I'm going to start the first one tonight because I'm achy and exhausted and don't have the brain power for my other current reads. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll enjoy this as much as I love Tessa Dare. Fingers crossed. 7y
robinb @DGRachel especially since you've committed yourself with the first six! 😊🤣 I loved them all, but my favorite was actually the last in the series....which says a lot about keeping it fresh and holding someone's interest. Get some R & R! 7y

Moonpa Ooohhh - new to me romance writer! Yay! 7y
DGRachel @robinb Love my used bookstore! Cheaper than Kindle for these mass market paperbacks. 😊 7y
robinb @DGRachel that's definitely the way to go! 👏 7y
robinb @Moonpa this set is historical, but she also has a contemporary one. 😊 7y
Sace I like funny in my romance too. I'll have to check out this author. 7y

Another brilliant, can't-put-it-down, edge-of-your-seat novel from Daniel Silva! I'm glad that the next one in the series is a continuation of this plot line.

Still loving this series. This one was particularly interesting because it walks the reader through a spy recruitment. Sooooo good.

DGRachel I love this series! 7y
Andrew65 I also love this series, hope to continue it next month. 7y
wendim Would I be able to read this as a stand alone or should I read the series? I'm a horrible series reader. 7y
Well-ReadNeck @wendim Any of these can be read alone. If you like this one, the one following relates to it. 7y
wendim @Well-ReadNeck Thank you! Heading to the library app in 3,2,1 7y
