One of the first books for adults that I remember reading. I have no idea how old I was, but I remember reading this story over and over again, before devouring a number of Sheldon's other books. Four nuns forced to leave their sheltered convent life, I don't remember much but there were Basque freedom fighters, and one of the nuns was a singer?
