Great little book about Halloween. It features chapters on the history of Halloween, symbols of Halloween, decorating for the holiday, historical recipes, and Halloween party games. This book also talks about Samhain and different magical exercises starting with grounding and centering. I found it all very fascinating for someone who has just started learning about the practice. Definitely enough fun info for anyone interested in just the holidays

What a fun and quick read! Contained a lot of information I already knew but I still enjoy reading these little books about Halloween. It included some great suggestions for things to do to celebrate Samhain/Halloween that I haven‘t seen in other books before.For people that want a more in-depth book about Halloween/Samhain this probably isn‘t it. However if you want a fun little intro book that makes you feel good I‘d suggest giving this a shot.

This is a cute small book that goes into the history of Halloween 🎃, tips on decorating like witches‘ bottles, and then practices for modern witches.

This was okay. There was an interesting chapter on how Halloween has changed through out history. The rest of the book was recipes, decoration ideas, spells and other random ideas for celebrating Halloween.
Counts as a book with a black cover for #ScaryScavengerHunt. It's Halloween themed so bonus points.

This quote is hilarious. It's funny because it's kinda true.

Absolutely adorable little book on Halloween. This book is cut into five sections which goes through the history of Halloween, creating atmosphere, celebrating, folklore traditions, customs and spells, and Halloween divination. The exercises and recipes are perfect for any Halloween lovers that want to join in with a little witchy fun. The history and folklore is indeed very well-researched and very fun to read. Very well done little book.
@jb72

jb72 Thanks for letting me know. Once I‘m done with my gazillion other library books, I‘m gonna look for that one. 5y

Woot woot 🤘🏻🎉

DGRachel I have the Beauty series on Kobo, but still haven't gotten to them. I'm just not sure if I'm ready to move from lighter romance fare to erotica, but I do love Anne Rice. 😳 5y
BeansPage @DGRachel I read the first of the sleeping beauty series years ago in my early twenties and I have to say, it is one of the most unique books I have ever read in my life. And I do mean that in a good way. I am going to reread it before I give my official decree on the book but from what I remember I would definitely recommend it. 5y
DGRachel I read most of my Anne Rice books in my teens and I remember blushing when looking at the books in the store. 25 years later and I can't shake that same sense of “naughty“ despite the other things I've read. 😂 I will get to them, though...eventually. 5y

The first 2 chapters were good, not so the last 2 in my opinion.
