Historical fiction written for young readers, published in 1953. Brightly was a burro who lived and worked in the canyon from 1892-1922, and helped build the first suspension bridge over the Colorado River from North Rim to South Rim. Great illustrations!

TheAromaofBooks Aww!! That's one of those happy/sad things. I remember you saying that about the Kurt Vonnegut books as well. It's so hard to lose someone close to you, but being able to read his books is such a lovely way to somehow still feel like you are making memories together. ❤ 3y
