Eddie Carbone is a longshoreman and a straightforward man, with a strong sense of decency and of honour. For Eddie, it's a privilege to take in his wife's cousins, straight off the boat from Italy. But, as his niece begins to fall for one of them, it's clear that it's not just, as Eddie claims, that he's too strange, too sissy, too careless for her, but that something bigger, deeper is wrong, and wrong inside Eddie, in a way he can't face. Something which threatens the happiness of their whole family.

KassKho @Heideschrampf i work at an office center as a community manager. So we basically rent out offices to smaller companies who can't afford their own building. I deal with all the coordinations of the offices in this particular building and produce events for all of them to network :) 7y

I often post photos from -- to quote Arthur Miller -- "A View from the Bridge." Here is a view of that bridge. I took it on yesterday's half-century bike ride. It crosses Lake Champlain and links Vermont and New York. #WhyILoveThe802 #bikelife #grateful

Terrific production of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE at the Ahmanson--minimalist staging/costumes, good acting, and a spectacular finish in which the stage is bathed in blood. 😯

It's not my favorite Miller play (lots of subjects tackled, none quite as meaningfully as you'd hope, characters aren't as nuanced as they could be), but I enjoyed watching this performance immensely. This production is headed to DC/ elsewhere around the country, FYI!

GuiltyFeat I saw this many years ago in London with Michael Gambon as Eddie. Powerful stuff. 8y
misswendyd @GuiltyFeat Nice! That must've been an amazing experience. I was hoping Mark Strong would continue on here, but the fellow who played Eddie was terrific anyway. A difficult role. 8y
