Where the Wild Things Bite
Where the Wild Things Bite | Molly Harper
13 posts | 19 read | 5 to read
In Molly Harper s witty new paranormal romance, a rare-book expert is delivering a package to Half Moon Hollow when her plane goes down, and a sexy vampire comes to her rescue. He s clearly got ulterior motives, but does he want to date her or devour her? Delivering a rare book to a valued customer is definitely part of mild-mannered archivist Anna Whitfield s job description. You know what isn t? Protecting her precious cargo from mid-flight theft by the very pilot who is flying her to Half-Moon Hollow "while" trying to appear as unappetizing as possible to the only other passenger, a vampire. Undead bookstore owner Jane Jameson could be waiting a very long time for her book. Possibly forever. Fortunately, Anna s dashing fanged companion Finn Palmeroy helps her fend off the attack, but not before their plane crash lands in the forest hundreds of miles from civilization. Great, now she s stranded with a priceless tome and a rakish vampire whose bedtime is fast approaching. Why does everyone want this book so badly, anyway? Anna just wants to get it to Jane before Finn decides to turn her into dinner or sweep her off her feet. Okay, the second option is "really" tempting." "But they re not out of the woods yet "

#OminousOctober

I tried to find a good Halloween book with a #sweater on it & finally went for some of Molly Harper‘s books from the Jane Jameson & Half-Moon Hollow series & that looks to be a blue cardigan on her newest audiobook, Witches Get Stuff Done, out towards the end of October.

The third of this series that I read in one weekend - rare book researcher survives a plane crash with a vampire who‘s hiding something, and they survive in the woods while falling in love.

Today's neighborhood walk was an afternoon one--luckily it's only 75 degrees & breezy so it wasn't too sweaty. Still listening to this new Molly Harper audio book that isn't in Litsy's database yet (so I tagged another one of her books). Walked down a different cul-de-sac today & saw a little front yard zen garden. I'm thinking the pagoda gazebo would make a great reading nook. 🤗📚Happy Friday. 💚

TNbookworm What a beautiful neighborhood! 6y
Eyelit Great photos! I‘m jealous of your walk!! 6y

I love that she has an "apocalypse closet"! I think I need one! ? What would you keep in YOUR apocalypse closet?

Cinfhen Ha, I love that!!! 8y
elkeOriginal As a Californian, I have an earthquake kit, of course. But I think I may start calling it my apocalypse kit instead 🤕 8y
readinginthedark Um...probably a book. And my security baton. Snacks, bottled water. I think this chick is probably usually more prepared than me. 8y

Really funny and a great romantic story... A little like "French Kiss" in all the best ways, if the plane had actually crashed and Kevin Klein's Luc was a vampire.

While I adored the book-archivist/researcher heroine and watching her conquer her fears, the romance aspect fell a little flat. It has all the makings of a great lost-in-the-woods adventure romance, but lacks emotional depth where the vampire hero is concerned. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some great new #bookmail from @GalleryBooks! I'm especially excited about WHERE THE WILD THINGS BITE. Book archivist heroine transporting a mysterious, rare book gets stranded in the forest with a vampire hero!
