National Holiday today in Austria 🥰 I‘m going to spend it with reading, baking cookies and playing a game later on. The boyfriend and I have our 7 year anniversary today so we‘re going to order yummy food later on as well🥰 (we‘re in lockdown, so no going out for dinner… again)

Also maybe I‘ll finally find time to catch up on #litsylove and my christmas mail🙈🙈

tracey38 Nice! Sounds like a great day! What exactly is National Holiday? 2y
ju.ca.no @tracey38 hmm it‘s a Christian Holiday celebrating virgin Mary‘s Immaculate Conception - Austria has many holidays for christian holidays like this! (We don‘t do anything for it, it‘s just a day off from work/school) 2y
tracey38 @ju.ca.no ok, nice! And always extra nice for more days off work, too. 2y

Every year both of my children get a special book commemorating their birthday. This is Genevieve‘s book for 2018. Each month gets a handful of special folk stories that correlate with that time of year. Some of the stories are specific to certain dates or holidays, such as Yom Kippur, and some of them are more general. The illustrations and endpapers are absolutely gorgeous too.

Tamra I‘ve seen this and agreed it‘s beautiful! 6y

It's Shrove Tuesday! We made "Paleo pancake fairy cookies" (a Sara-invention) and Ellie dressed up. Normal day.

quirkyreader Did you attend any pancake making races? I didn't do pancakes this year because I had panzcki instead. 7y

saresmoore @Jinjer @Hobbinol Elliott is quite the fashionista. You can't tell in the picture, but she's wearing meticulously applied hot pink lipstick. 7y
