pickTomorrow night I get to host these three amazing authors at @FountainBookstore and I just finished Be True to Me. Loved it! Take two girls, one boy, a small island, shake it up and send it back to 1976 and you've got a riveting tale of the lengths we'll go to and all the ways we'll betray (ourselves as well as others) for live and ambition. All 3 books are fantastic and I'm so excited to meet the authors!

Love everything @AlgonquinYR publishes. This is a kind of coming-of-age, first love, friendship and more set on Fire Island in 1976.
pickRead this book SO FAST! It pulled me in right away and takes place in the summer of 1976. Jean's family always summers on Fire Island; Fritz always goes with her best friend and has always been sort of an outsider. Enter Gil, who is trying to fit in and has ties to a family on the island too. Both girls like him and the summer is sort of a fight over him with bigger consequences. A good discussion in privilege too. #youngadult #kidlit out in June.

Tuesdays are my most productive days, meaning I work so hard I look up and have been going for 6 or 7 straight hours. Taking a conscious break with the new Adele Griffin book and cup of tea.
