I apparently started reading this book like 5 years ago and then didn‘t successfully complete all 40 days of it successfully and consecutively….it‘s lines like this that reveal to me that I was a very different person with very different ideals back then!!

Profound- you will not come out of reading this book without being changed and full of hope and endless purpose!

When anything in creation fulfills it‘s purpose, it brings glory to God.
Everything created by God reflects His glory in some way. We see it everywhere, from the smallest microscopic form of life to the vast Milky Way, from sunsets and stars to storms and seasons.
Creation reveals our Creator‘s glory.
When life gets tough, when you‘re overwhelmed with doubt,or when you wonder if living for Christ is worth the effort, remember that you are not home yet. At death you leave home—you‘ll go home.
In God‘s eyes, the greatest heroes of faith are not those who achieve prosperity, success, and power in this life, but those who treat this life as a temporary assignment and serve faithfully, expecting their promised reward in eternity.
Everyday is an important day, and every second is a growth opportunity to deepen your character, to demonstrate love, or to depend on God. Some tests seem overwhelming, while others you don‘t even notice. But all of them have eternal implications.
When you live in the light of eternity, your values change. You use your time and money more wisely. You place a higher premium on relationships and character instead of fame or wealth or achievements or even fun. Your priorities are reordered.
God has a purpose for your life on earth, but it doesn‘t end here. His plan involves far more than the few decades you will spend on this planet.

Our new financial planner has made it his personal mission to save our souls, apparently. He knows we don‘t go to church, so today — because he “thinks we can benefit from it” — he presented us this book with a entire god spiel. It was wholly uncomfortable. If he wasn‘t doing a great job handling our investments, I‘d have walked right out. I respect other folks‘ beliefs and I expect them to respect mine in return. 😬
