Readathon: Occasional List : Geleentheidslys | Gauteng (South Africa). Education Media Service
post image

It‘s time for the monthly 9 day choose your own goals Readathon, #AwesomeApril. Although as this one coincides with a bank/national holiday for many, I‘ve extended this to 10 days and incorporated the Monday.

A very relaxed and informal Readathon where you can choose your own goals, whatever they may be. No formal sign up just reply below or do a post sharing your goals, and/or the books you hope to read.

Best of luck and have fun with this 😊

Andrew65 @Lizpixie Thanks for asking, we are both doing as well as we can. Still issues with my IBD and continuous pain but unfortunately that is life. Constant issues with bowels and stomach. How are you and your family doing? If you‘ve not read it I recommend The Dutch House Audiobook read by Tom Hanks. See if his voice will help you out of your reading funk. (edited) 1mo
Andrew65 @julesG If it‘s not the size of the keys it‘s the stupid auto-correct. 1mo
Andrew65 @wanderinglynn Brilliant. 1mo
Lizpixie @Andrew65 I will def give your recce a go, got 4 aud credits lying around rn! I totally sympathise with the stomach & chronic pain issues, two of my biggest probs as well. My SFPN causes paralysed stomach which flows into(or not, literally!)into chronic constipation from intestines too lazy to do their job. Fun times. Causes knock on effects which get worse over time. Then there‘s the constant nerve, muscle & bone pain just from being alive.🥳 1mo
Lizpixie @Andrew65 We still here though! Giving Chronic illness the big middle finger🖕🖕🏻🖕🏽 1mo
Ruthiella Thanks for the tag! I‘m in. 😃 1mo
Librarybelle Thanks for the tag! I have to think of my goals. I hope you are doing okay! 1mo
DuckOfDoom I hope to go book shopping one day, and I'll try to make a list of books I want to finish - short ones, probably 1mo
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Can relate to a lot of that including the constipation, currently taking a lot of Ispahagula Husk which I got from Amazon to ease that. The constant pain it is which brings you down and gives cause for concern. I need to spend the rest of my Audible credits over next 3 days. 1mo
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Yes to giving chronic illness the big middle finger. 1mo
Andrew65 @Librarybelle Thanks, doing as well as we can here. 1mo
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Thanks for the tag! I'm what seems to be a rare breed - someone who uses vacations to explore. Maybe because my everyday life is rather sedentary. I'm vacationing in Arizona for most of the time, but I'll certainly read when I can. Looking to finish a couple of books and start on the new #sundaybuddyread for May. 1mo
MaGoose I'll be finishing up a few books and starting at least one new one. 1mo
CoffeeNBooks Yay! I'm in! Hoping to finish some of my April books. 📚 1mo
